Newsflash: Tom's Farewell
If you haven't already heard the news, Tom Filtness, our friendly Course Super will be finishing up with us on Friday 13 November. He's taking on a new challenge with a turf products company (one of the Club's suppliers, so we might still see him visiting!)
Tom's had a long history with the Club. After completing his apprenticeship at KBGC, we said goodbye the first time as he left to gain broader experience. In 2018, he returned to our 2IC role, before taking on the lead role then being promoted to Superintendent. We're sure you'll agree he's a very personable character - and an entertaining golfer!
The Club invites all members to join in farewelling Tom - in the Clubhouse from 3pm on Friday 13 November.
Annual General Meeting - 24 November
Members are invited to attend the Club's AGM to be held on Tuesday, 24 November 2026 commencing at 7.00pm.
Life Membership Nominations
Life membership is the highest form of recognition our Club can offer, recognising members whose outstanding service and contribution have made a lasting difference to Kingston Beach Golf Club. The Club welcomes nominations from members who believe a fellow member is deserving of this special recognition.
As you look around our Club, is there someone whose dedication, volunteer effort, leadership, sportsmanship, or long-term contribution has gone above and beyond for the benefit of members and the Club? If someone comes to mind, we encourage you to put their name forward.
Any current financial member may nominate another current financial member for Life Membership.
To make a nomination, email the Board (manager@kbgc.com.au) with the following details:
- name of another financial member who seconds the nomination, and
- a description of the nominee's achievements, contribution and/or service to the Club, including the periods of that service.
The Board will consider all nominations received by Friday, 13 November. Subject to the Board's decision, one nominee will be proposed as a Life Member at the AGM on 24 November.
