Membership Classes

Sub-Committees

Includes but not limited to:

Etiquette

All players must be familiar with and observe golf etiquette.

1. a)

   Report to Pro-shop on arrival before entering course.

2. b)

   Check local rules before hitting off.

3. c)

   Must use a set of golf clubs and bag (hire available from Pro-shop).

4. d)

   No player should play until players in front are out of range.

5. e)

   Call following players through if they are waiting.

6. f)

   No damage to putting green or hole from bags, flagstick, or standing close.

7. g)

   If unable to take your place, remove name from booking sheet or advise Pro-shop.

8. h)

   No one to move, talk, or stand close behind ball/hole when player is addressing ball.

9. i)

   Enter/leave bunkers at flat portion, smooth/rake all marks, leave rake in centre parallel with line of play.

10. j)

    Repair all divot marks (replace divot, cover with thin sand layer).

11. k)

    Repair ball marks, pitch marks, and spike marks on green.

12. l)

    Buggies must not cross greens or come within 3 metres of greens' surface or between greens and bunkers.

Reciprocal Rights

Reciprocal arrangements with clubs listed on website. Members must request letter of introduction from Office before booking.

Life Membership

Granted in recognition of long-term contribution. May be nominated by any member. Decision to propose at AGM is solely the Board's decision — no correspondence entered into.

Honorary Membership

Board may admit honorary members at its discretion. Not eligible for board, no voting rights, unrestricted access to all facilities.

Provisional Membership

Prospective members after completing nomination form and paying fees must await Board approval. Provisional membership grants temporary access until approval received.

Appointment of Course Superintendent

1. a)

   Appointed by Board on terms it determines.

2. b)

   Assists Captain with maintenance/management of course and equipment. Responsible for daily management of course staff and employees.

Visitors

1. a)

   Members inviting guests must ensure green fees paid in advance at Pro-shop (online payment if Pro-shop closed).

2. b)

   Members wishing to introduce visitor for competition should seek Captain's permission.

3. c)

   Visitors shall not play more than 6 times per calendar year (open club tournaments count).

4. d)

   Member's child under 12 may use course free if in company of member (as introduction to golf). Members responsible for dress and conduct of children.

Slow Play

18-hole round should finish within 4.5 hours (group of 4). Practices to avoid slow play:

1. a)

   On tee — Be ready when it's your turn.

2. b)

   Fairway — Ready golf.

3. c)

   On green — Place buggy to side ready for next tee. Don't leave buggy in front. Leave green immediately after holing out.

4. d)

   Picking up — In Stableford/Par/Best Ball, pick up if you can no longer effectively score. Stroke rounds: maximum stroke applies unless Honour Board event.

5. e)

   Calling through — Group losing its place with clear hole ahead must call following group through.

6. f)

   Provisional ball — Play provisional ball when ball may be lost.

7. g)

   Scorecards — Scorecards marked after moving to next tee.

8. h)

   Ready golf — Play ready golf to avoid impeding others.

Scorecards

1. a)

   Must scan scorecard into system and place in competition box after round.

2. b)

   Responsibility to ensure card details including score and signature are correct.

3. c)

   DNF: write DNF on card with reason, take to Pro-shop and discuss with Professional.

Motorised Golf Carts

Includes all motorised vehicles designed for golf course use. Members with difficulty walking 18 holes may use own cart or hire one.

1. a)

   Must not be driven onto tees, tee-mounds, greens, or between bunkers and greens. Drive around outside of greenside bunkers.

2. b)

   Must not be driven or left within 10 metres of greens.

3. c)

   Must be driven primarily along rough where possible.

4. d)

   Must not be driven ahead of play when ball is in play.

5. e)

   Occupants limited to manufacturer's recommendation. No one under 18 may drive.

6. f)

   In competitions, cart users maintain normal place — no special priority.

7. g)

   Captain reserves right to rule on cart use in competitions, restrict use when course could be damaged, and delegate authority to Vice-Captains/Superintendent/Professional to close course to carts.

Priority on the Course

Competition players have precedence. Players playing less than 18 holes must not cut in on a full round group unless they can do so without interference.

Dress Regulations

Neat and tidy at all times — on course, practice facilities, and clubhouse.

Practice

Practice in designated areas: adjacent to Clubhouse and area in rough at 17th fairway adjacent to 6th green. Practice matting closest to 1st tee available in all weather.

Inclinator

1. a)

   Players leaving 17th hole have priority over any other person.

2. b)

   Maximum 4 persons with equipment at any one time.

3. c)

   When leaving, ensure gates locked/shut and inclinator returned to bottom.

Greens Staff

Have priority at all times. Players must not endanger them by hitting up when they are in line of play.

Mobile Phones

Use restricted to scoring and GPS. Phone calls only in emergencies, whether on course or in Clubhouse.

Adverse Weather Policy

Head Professional, Club Captain, and Course Superintendent have authority to decide conditions are dangerous and suspend/cancel play or close course including practice facilities.

Insurance

• Loss/theft of property and golfing equipment is member's responsibility.

• Damage to cars/windscreens in car park is member's responsibility.

• Equipment stored in club facilities at owner's risk.

• Personal belongings in locker room at own risk.

Animals on the Course

No animals except seeing-eye dogs.

Alcohol

May be consumed in Clubhouse and on course. Only alcohol purchased from the caterer may be taken onto course.

Version Control
